Need to know what are the limits of employers being able to discipline drivers based on video captured from cameras installed in company vehicles. Privacy issues? Legal issues? What can employees do? Where can I find any policies prescription online on this issue?
Thanks for the answers – however, does it make a difference that we are municipal government employees, not private? There is a union too.

They cant unfairly discipline based on them ( ie based on race, sex, etc.). Other then that the premise is if you dont like it, dont work there.
The company can do whatever they’d like. That’s ususally why they install the driver cams so that they can keep an eye on their employees. If you don’t like it find another job
